about

hello.
this is where I’ve chosen to put my thoughts. an effort to fight boredom, disappointment, depression, or just the mundane. a fight for some small ray of joy in every day. something to do.

the title of this blog is chosen with intentionality. sometimes people talk so stupidly and incessantly and so very meaninglessly that it feels like a series of farts might as well be coming out of their mouths. pointless, maybe little bit funny, and words that you spend the rest of your life forgetting. that is the expectation I want to set with the title I’ve chosen. my words are Words for the Wind. these are my verbal farts. my mom told me not to sell myself short with a fart joke, but I am a full grown adult, and I will do what I want. I’m only ladylike when necessary.

Lewis Carroll once said about Alice in Wonderland,

“I’m very much afraid I didn’t mean anything but nonsense. Still, you know, words mean more than we mean to express when we use them; so a whole book ought to mean a great deal more than the writer means. So, whatever good meanings are in the book, I’m glad to accept as the meaning of the book.”

Alice in Wonderland was words for the wind from Carroll. it was my favorite story growing up. I benefitted from Lewis Carroll’s verbal farts. maybe you’ll benefit from mine. I probably will.

writing my thoughts down helps me come to terms with the way my life feels, and that’s what I’m going to do until I feel okay (or until I quit, which is supes likely). I like beauty, and I like to be perverse. I like drawing ugly things rather than impressive things. writing is not my talent, but it makes me feel better. I will say what I feel like saying.
anyway.
stay tuned.
stay fresh.
be cool.
